CPqD Announces New Billing Rating Module
(Fort Lauderdale, FL; May 1st, 2005) CPqD announced today the release of
a new Billing Rating Module. The Rating Engine is based on the J2EE platform
and is part of the CPqD Business Engine Solution, which will be released to
the market by the end of 2005.
The first release of CPqD Business Engine will target mostly ILECs and
CLECs in the Tier 3 market, either facilities or non-facilities based. It is
a fully convergent solution, supporting all types of services (phone, CATV,
Internet, Special Circuits) and telecom networks (copper, fiber, WLL).
The Billing Rating Module allows for a rating process to be extremely
flexible, encompassing rating plans and rating modes such as "per volume of
usage", "per message content", "per time-slices", "per distance", etc. The
Billing Rating Module is currently being deployed by a major Brazilian
telecom service provider.
